Internship 2008
Background
This
internship is the next step in giving students a longer period of
exposure to the work we do, as well as having them here long enough
to do a short project all by themselves. It is only open to students
that have done either an Intro or an Advanced Course, merely a
precaution so that we know we can get along with each other!!!
The working
experience
Working experience will consist of
three different aspects:
-
A theoretical consignment
This is to provide the candidate with opportunity to do
literature searches and compile scientific reports.
-
A short project
The candidate will receive a short research project that will be
completed within the time span of the internship. The candidate
will take full responsibility re. Planning, executing and
writing up.
-
Clinical work
Accompany either of the veterinarians on call outs
We will also keep our ears on the
ground. If any of our colleagues are doing anything special, we will
try and arrange that you can accompany them.
Accommodation and
food
Students will stay at
Ngongoni
Game Ranch, each in their own room with en suite bathroom. The
students have internet access via a satellite connection.
We provide the food, but students have to
prepare it themselves. Obviously, the kitchen at the Lodge spoils us
every now and then.
